Sherwin Krug – Founder and Chief Executive Officer

Prior to founding AppointmentCity, Sherwin served as Chief Operating Officer for MFG.com a global online marketplace for the custom parts and textiles industry. Sherwin was instrumental in the rapid growth of the company through the strengthening of operations as well as international expansion to Europe, China and South America. This included developing and shepherding new product lines and offices from scratch to profitable new business units.

Prior to MFG.com, Sherwin was the Chief Financial Officer for Tectonic Network, Inc., a micro-cap public company focused on 3D CAD products and prior to that, Sherwin served as Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer for CMD Group, a worldwide information publisher, through its sale to Reed Elsevier plc for $300 million. Prior to that, Sherwin was a Senior Manager with Ernst & Young in both its Johannesburg, South Africa, and Atlanta offices, where he focused on entrepreneurial growth companies.

Sherwin received a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of the Witwatersrand and a Bachelor of Accounting Science Honors from the University of South Africa. He is a Chartered Accountant and member of the Atlanta chapter of the Executives Roundtable. Sherwin also serves on the Advisory Board to the Kennesaw State University, Computer Science and Information Systems Department.

Samantha Price – Marketing Director

Street Cred: Samantha has lived on the gulf coast, west coast and east coast, but wherever she is her preferred view is watching motor sports, be it from the hills of Laguna Seca to the grandstands of Talladega.

Samantha, an internet marketing guru, brings a passion for helping businesses succeed online.

Samantha most recently worked in Los Angeles for Affinity Group where she successfully directed online marketing targeted to the outdoor recreation market including their high growth consumer oriented websites. As internet marketing manager, she was responsible for the content and marketing of an online business directory as well as trip routing programs. Prior to that, Samantha worked for Move.com the leader in online real estate, a network capturing an average of more than nine million visitors each month. At Move, Samantha held various roles in product management and marketing. Prior to Move, Samantha held a marketing position at eUniverse, which was acquired by Fox Audience Network.

Samantha received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from Florida State University.

Charles Brian Quinn – Chief Technology Officer

Street Cred: Charles is a coffee connoisseur and can hold his own pouring latte art in Barista throw-downs and espresso cupping. This comes in handy when the team is doing late night coding.

Charles, a Ruby Ninja, guides the technology development and direction of the AppointmentCity application through his company Highgroove Studios. Charles is a former road-warrior consultant to Fortune 500 companies and government agencies around the world, with real-world knowledge and experience in building successful web applications with scalable software architecture. He has worked with organizations such as The New York Times, Deloitte & Touche, Accenture, Wells Fargo, Citigroup, the Municipality of Durban in South Africa, and several government agencies around the country.

Charles is also the lead instructor of the Ruby on Rails Bootcamp class at the Big Nerd Ranch, a contributing author to The Rails Way and has literally taught Rocket Scientists at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory the Ruby way.

Charles graduated with High Honors from Georgia Tech with a B.S. in Computer Science.

Britni Zandbergen – Director, Internet Marketing and Partnerships

Street Cred: Seasoned on the streets of New York, Britni is part Red Bull part Dutch and works off excess energy at the gym, hiking and bargain hunting.

On her bucket list: Sky diving and to travel the world, of course.

Britni, a high energy person, brings an enthusiasm for all things internet and the possibilities that happen when companies create strategic partnerships.

Britni most recently worked as a Product Manager for FacilitySource, a facility management software provider, where she was in charge of the planning, development and management of an online suite of strategic e-sourcing/procurement solutions. In addition to directing marketing and sales efforts, Britni also managed all strategic sourcing projects.

Prior to FacilitySource, Britni worked as a Marketing Manager and Business Analyst at Control Equity Group in New York. Before that, Britni was a Media Buyer for New York based Mindshare and Marketing Coordinator for Engineered Framing Systems in Montclair, New Jersey.

Britni received a Master’s degree in Communications from New York University and an undergraduate degree from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. She is an advisor to the Children’s Body Image Foundation, a non-profit organization that helps provide financial assistance to children with medical issues. She is also a member of Atlanta Interactive Marketing Association and the Women in Communications organization.

Celia R. Dyer, D.M.D – Advisory Board Member

Street Cred: Celia, a licensed dentist and technologist, began communicating on Twitter long before Oprah and Ashton Kutcher made it popular.

Celia, a well known fixture of the Atlanta technology community, is the Founder and Executive Producer at TechDrawl.com, a video blog covering technology startups and emerging companies from D.C to Texas. Celia produces video content for internet broadcasts including scripting, filming, and post- production and writes news stories on technology events and entrepreneurs for TechDrawl. Celia is also a founder at StartupChicks.net, a company whose mission is networking and mentoring women technology entrepreneurs.

Celia, is a licensed general dentist by profession, was previously the owner of Tuxedo Dental, P.C. in the Buckhead community of Atlanta, GA. She is also a Board Member of the Atlanta Community Food Bank.

Celia received a B.B.A in Marketing from Georgia State University and a D.M.D. from the University of Alabama at Birmingham Dental School.

Desmond Miller – Director

Street Cred: Des is such an ardent golfer that he has three identical sets of golf clubs at three different golf courses around the world so he does not have to take them with him when he travels and he has a fourth set at home just in case.

On his bucket list: Play golf at all the major courses including both Augusta and St. Andrews, Scotland

Des is a Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Quofore a global developer and provider of mobile software applications for field sales, marketing and merchandising in the consumer products industry. Quofore which counts blue chip customers such as Kraft foods and Procter and Gamble as customers enables sales reps to check inventory levels, products displays and pricing information in retail stores and wirelessly transmit orders back to headquarters.

Des, a serial entrepreneur, has over 25 years of experience in building and managing global software companies. Desmond was a founding member of System Builder Corporation, an international software company specializing in 4th Generation Language Tools with offices across four continents and upwards of 25,000 corporate users in 50 countries. Desmond was also the founder and CEO of Masterpack International, an ERP solutions business with offices in Asia Pacific, North America and Europe.

Des a resident of Sydney, Australia received a Bachelor of Economic Science and Master of Business Administration from the University of the Witwatersrand.
